Unashamed

I have not much
To offer You
Not near what You deserve
But still I come
Because Your cross
Has placed in me my worth

Oh, Christ my King
Of sympathy
Whose wounds secure my peace
Your grace extends
To call me friend
Your mercy sets me free

And I know I’m weak
I know I’m unworthy
To call upon Your name
But because of grace
Because of Your mercy
I stand here unashamed

I can’t explain
This kind of love
I’m humbled and amazed
That You’d come down
From heavens heights
And greet me face to face

Here I am at Your feet
In my brokeness complete

Grandma

A message from my mum today shocked me.

“Ma Ma in the hospital now. AE unit. Pls pray 4 her” – Mum

I immediately clenched my hands and prayed for my grandma.

Apparently, one of her artery from her heart might have tear and she have to go through an operation tomorrow.

I was down and sad, because I kept thinking the worst, which I shouldn’t be.

I’ve only lost one grandparent, but that was before I was born.

I just can’t understand how does it feel if I lose someone so dear to me.

I couldn’t take it, and I almost teared.

I continue to pray for her in school, because I want her to have the BEST.

She deserves all that she could. If it’s her time, I’m sure I would understand.

It’s God’s Will, not mine. I trust God.

Continue to pray for my grandma as she go through the operation tomorrow.

God bless.

Hectic Week Ahead.

It’s MONDAY !

Here comes the Monday blues … (booooooo !)

Well, it’s 2am already and I just finished my 4 weeks lab work. However, its not perfected yet. I’ll work harder though. I can’t believe I actually used the first 2 hour of the week to do my school work. That’s amazing, for me…

Anyway, as my title says, this week is a really busy and hectic week for me. I’ve a couple of tests, quizzes and a Japanese Oral Presentation. To further add on, the Youth Camp is just one month away. I feel unprepared and not ready. Spiritual attack? Lack of confidence? Low self-esteem? I’m not too clear, but I know my Lord will provide a way for me.

I lift my entire week to God, as a service to Him. I wanna do well for all my quizzes and test, so that I could concentrate on the youth camp preparations and confirmation.

Lord, take me and mould me. Mould me to what You want me to become. I lift my week to You, O Lord. Help me and bless this entire week to be a stress-free week. I desire your wisdom, knowledge, and peace. I need you more than anything. Thank you for today for having this cell outing and a great time of fellowship with my brothers in Seekers. I could not ask for a better cell group in CCR. Thank you for placing me in Seekers. I pray and thank you all in Jesus’ name, Amen.

5 Senses …

Why do we use our eyes to focus on the bad images, pornography, senseless imaging, ridiculing facial features of another,
but we can’t focus on the image of God, at least, ‘try to’ ?

Why can we hear music to shut ourselves out, listening to heavy metal, racism jokes, believing in rumors,
but we can’t hear the voice of God ?

Why can we slap, whack, hit, pinch, kick people,
but not love one another with our hands like Jesus had said …

Why can we breathe into first-hand smoke, drugs, or glue or whatever,
But not breathing in God’s Word ?

Why can we taste sweetness, sourness, bitterness, saltiness,
But not tasting the sweet love of God, who laid Jesus down for us, to die on the Cross.

Something we all have, something we don’t treasure …

Self-interest or Selflessness ?

I’m sure everyone would remember today’s sermon by Pastor Fu-Man.

2 important words he mentioned, and these 2 important things we face everyday.

“Self-interest or Selflessness ? “

Today’s worship was really great. This week I feel so ‘left out’ and I admit I neglected God.

While worshipping the Lord, and singing ‘Hosanna’, the lyrics:

“I see a generation, rising up to take their place, WITH SELFLESS FAITH.”

Well, this short lyrics struck me. I’m sure in every church, at a certain age, some would rise up as cell leaders, worship leaders, etc. and take their place for the church. But focus on the last three words, ’selfless faith‘. I mean, sure we can be leaders and lead people, but are we doing it  for working  or as a service to God?

Today’s prayer meeting for Youth Camp consists of Jessie, Isabel, Gabriel and I. I was quiet through all the whole time, except reaffirming each other’s prayers. I know God is working in us and through us. Something must have spoke to Jessie and Isabel, who prayed for me during the meeting.

I possessed Moses’ timidness, but Lord, I want to possess his faith towards You. Help me to know that you are Lord, and let me deny myself day by day, and repent for all my sins I’ve done wrong against You. I seek you, O Lord Father. The God who is the same yesterday, today and forever, and never change. Guide me, Lord, into your path of righteousness. Let me rise up to what You want me to be. Amen.

Service / Work ?

I apologize for my irregular updates and posts.

I’m just gonna start with school, that started 3 weeks ago. Well, it’s been rather hectic, as there are newer modules and tougher modules. I feel I’m lagging behind, and I really need to buck up this semester. With Youth Camp going on, I’m sucked into this black hole called ‘Stress’.

What’s more, Desmond approached AOG to lead our first worship for Thanksgiving Dinner. I want the band to be focus on what God has provided us with. We have a chance to serve Him, and I don’t want the band to lose our sight and focus. I’m demanding, but we’re talking about serving the God who gave us the best free gift in the world, Eternal Life.

What more can we ask from Him? If we can’t do the simplest thing, we failed.

God is never far away from us. He’s just right beside us, but do we believe this fact? If we can’t, how do we serve Him with a servanthood heart?  We’ve got to believe that God is right there, pleased with what we’ve done to worship Him is straight from our hearts. It’s the heart that God sees, and not the action.

Be merry, and worship Him at his feet, for we don’t even deserve the bits of food at his feet ..

Kids

Personally, kids/babies/children is the second great gift from God.

They teach you patience, faithfulness, obedience, etc.

Today, on my way back home, I see the smile of a kid who just got the hang of riding a two-wheel bicycle. That smile of achievement, the smile of victory.. All I see is a genuine smile.

I remember my return trip from KL. When I went into the coach, just listening to my music and we stopped outside Time Square. Apparently, there were more commuters boarding to head to Singapore. A young chap came into the coach. Soon after, he went back down, and I saw him walking to his wife, his mother and his adorable little baby boy.

Apparently, He looks like he was leaving the country without his family. All I see was this happy family splitting up.

Young Man: In his mid to late 20s, comforting his wife who is crying. Kissing his wife and boy, telling them it’ll be alright.

Young Lady: Mother of the child, sobbing real bad to see her husband leaving. Holding her baby, and longing for her husband’s return already.

Baby boy: Oblivious to the surrondings. Looking deep into his father’s eyes, loving the touch of the leaving father.

Mother: Worried, yet proud of his Son.

This post may be weird, but I like to remember it in my archives.

Seekers + 1 !

Today, I, no, WE, welcome Ding Sheng to Seekers who accepted Christ. Most importantly, he’s our family now. We can call each other, brothers in Christ.

Uncle Sam, the speaker today for youth is great speaker. He’s funny, comical and does tricks during his sermons. Well, he’s pretty hip to be preacher. I believe he is a really good example to show us that God uses anyone and everyone in His own ways.

A perfect emphasis today: Christianity is not a RELIGION, but a RELATIONSHIP.

We don’t go to a temple for love.
We don’t go to a mosque for love.
God gave Jesus Christ to die on the cross to show us love.
